Biology, Chemistry and Physics fail for different reasons: recall, calculation, and the maths hidden inside physics. Each is taught by someone who teaches that subject, not science in general.
The recall the exam demands, plus the long answers that separate the top grades.
Calculations done properly, and the practicals understood rather than memorised.
The maths inside physics taught alongside the physics, which is where most marks go.
Taught in real time on our own platform, with a shared whiteboard. Nothing pre-recorded.
Every lesson is kept, so a tricky explanation can be watched again before the exam.
A note after every session: what was covered, what went well, what to practise next.
We teach the specification your child is sitting, not a generic syllabus.
Biology, chemistry and physics, for combined science and for the separate sciences. Tell us which route your child is on and which board, because the content and the papers differ between them.
AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, CIE and Eduqas. Tell us which board your child is entered for and which tier, and the tutor teaches that specification rather than a general syllabus.
For one-to-one we choose the tutor rather than assigning whoever is free, on the subject, the level, and how your child actually learns. Tutors are university-educated with degree-level knowledge of the subject they teach, and hold an enhanced DBS before a first lesson. We can produce the paperwork if you ask.
If the tutor turns out not to be the right fit, ask for a different one. It is free, you do not need to give a reason, and nothing else about your booking changes.
A written report, every lesson, not every term. Which topics were covered, which questions went well and which did not, what was set as homework, and what the next lesson will start with. It appears in your login, where every previous report is kept as well, so you can read back across a term in one place.
Yes. One full hour with a tutor, free, and we do not take a card to book it. You get the written report afterwards the same as any other lesson, and there is no obligation to carry on.
Rates depend on the number of sessions a week, and the small group class is charged separately. The pricing page works it out for you rather than us restating figures here that could fall out of step.
One full hour with one of our tutors, free of charge. You will see how we teach, and you get the write-up afterwards like any other lesson.
